Richard Barrett

Richard took up guitar at the age of 9, after hearing David Bowie, Marc Bolan and the Beatles. He was first inspired to try the electric guitar by Andy Summers of the Police and James Honeyman Scott from the Pretenders, then picking up on The Who, Led Zeppelin, Rush, Pink Floyd, Gary Moore etc etc… Since then, he has learned his trade thoroughly, selling and repairing guitars, then writing and demonstrating for Total Guitar, Guitar Techniques and Guitarist magazines.

He also maintains a busy schedule as a studio musician and performer all over the world, from sweaty clubs in New York to London’s Royal Albert Hall. Richard has worked with Roger Daltrey, Kenney Jones, Steve Augeri, Tony Hadley, Peter Cox/Go West, Belinda Carlisle, ABC, Paul Young, Wang Chung, Bill Bruford, Gary Barlow, Nik Kershaw, Rick Astley, Joe Lynn Turner, Sister Sledge and many more.
