Hey there Knaggsters! My name is Bruce Sokolovic and was born way back in 1974. I bought my first Randy Rhoads record in 1988 and my young ears couldn’t comprehend what they were hearing. I was hooked! I was blessed being born left handed and of meager means, meaning I had to work all summer for my first guitar at 15 years old and learn on other peoples right handed guitars in the meantime. I remember spending my first summer completely indoors, in my room playing along to old records.
I had 6 years of formal music education in NYC, where I currently reside. In 2009, I appeared on a recording with Grammy Award winner Joey Williams and that recording won a Billboard World Song Contest. Having since retired from original music, I have played internationally in various tribute and cover bands and am currently entertaining thousands of people a year up and down the East Coast in Rock Kandy the 80s Experience. I teach guitar in New Jersey as well as perform my function as guitar editor for New Jersey based Musicplayers.com.
Some of my influences are Paul Gilbert, John Petrucci, Joel Hoekstra and Steve Stevens just to name a few. I discovered Knaggs guitars and honestly never looked back. I couldn’t imagine playing anything less than the best, and Knaggs is it. Their product line has the perfect combination of aesthetic appeal and effortless playability.
